5″ x 7″ Oil on panel

Painted on Christmas day, this was a lot of fun. I tried something new; painting on a black (or nearly black) panel with mostly thicker paints. You definitely have to stay much thicker with all of the paints this way. Even with a pretty hectic schedule I was able to get a quick painting done because of the size. I may need to do more of these just to have the opportunity to paint more in the coming year. I think i will need to set some goals this year for my painting and then do a goal check each month to stay focused. Hopefully someone out there will help me stay on coarse. I’ll be thinking about this one.

Now its off with my son Sam for a few days of deer hunting with muzzleloaders. About 14 guys and one girl make it to a christian camp with a ton of acreage and have a great time. Its as much for the camaraderie as it is for the hunting. Some of these guys have been at it a long time and the stories just keep coming. Some of the same stories are rehashed a few times too, just for accuracy.

See you next year…

Thanks.
